Emily Mannix starred in the Melbourne Vixen’s semi-final victory over the Sunshine Coast Lightning, leading her team to a spot in the Grand Final this Sunday.

The goalkeeper earned the Player of the Match award after finishing with eight gained balls, four intercepts and three rebounds.

The Vixens will face the West Coast Fever in Sunday’s decider, with Mannix set to play a crucial role to stop in-form goal shooter Jhaniele Fowler and defeat the red-hot Fever.

It’s been a season to remember for the newly appointed vice-captain, notching up her 50th game and maintaining her excellent form throughout a COVID-19 interrupted year, which required the players to hub in in Queensland.

The Suncorp Super Netball Grand Final will be held on Sunday 18 October in Brisbane at 1pm, broadcast live on channel 9.

Best of luck for this Sunday Emily, we wish you all the best!
