Cutting Oranges with Darcy Vescio

Adding her own twist to the world of podcasting, Carlton superstar Darcy Vescio is three episodes into her new show, Cutting Oranges.

Providing amazing insight into the world of women’s football, Cutting Oranges explores the people who have helped shape the game into what it is today.

Featuring guests like Sal Rees, Andy Maher and Akec Makur Chuot, Vescio provides a unique look at AFLW and the positive impact it is already having in its early years.

The first woman to nominate for the AFL Draft in 1995, Reese was a true trailblazer for women’s football. She explained the emotions that she and many others felt at the inaugural AFLW match back in 2017.

“There were women that I played football with that I’d known over the years [had] tears down their cheeks” she said

“It was something we never would have imagined would have happened.”
