Kate Hore
Kate Hore made her AFLW debut in 2018 after the Melbourne Football Club signed her as a rookie in 2017.
She exploded onto the AFLW scene, using her skills as a former basketballer to be dynamic across half-forward and damaging from the wing and the midfield when she moves up the ground.
Hore had a breakout 2020 season, finishing third in Melbourne’s Best & Fairest, winning the AFLW Goal of the Year and finished equal first in Melbourne’s leading goal kicking award with seven majors from only five games. This earned the excitement machine All Australian honours in only her third season.
Her Goal of the Year was an incredible three-bounce run up the boundary line, flying past two opponents before snapping the goal from the forward pocket. Known for her raw speed and explosive pace, Hore regularly burns off more experienced opponents making her an instant fan favourite.
Hore’s passion for sport extends off the field. Working for the Australian Fitness Academy, she looks to share her love for health and fitness, helping others find a career they love in the industry.
